Japan’s website revisits the Siren logo’s origins and four eras

Japan’s official website explains how the twin-tailed Siren became the Starbucks symbol, tracing the brown 1971 original, the green 1987 version, the closer upper-body view in 1992, and removal of lettering in 2011. It also shows how stores including Yamaguchi City Central Park, Matsuyama-shi Station and Shibuya Stream use materials, colors and murals to portray Siren. This is brand history, not an announcement replacing the current logo.
