Starbucks China announced on July 30 that, beginning August 1, the interest-based community spaces created in partnership with Xiaohongshu would add book-friendly and music-fan-friendly spaces while upgrading four types of experiences centered on pets, handicrafts, cycling, and running. According to the announcement, coverage expanded to nearly 2,400 stores.
The announcement also introduced the “Liaocao Reading Club” themed experience at Beijing Fun, created in partnership with Yu Hua and Thinkingdom Culture, as part of the “Good Things Are Close By” campaign. This item is provided as historical background; both the store count and the scope of the campaign correspond to the July 30 announcement.
