Starbucks 日本 · JAPAN WONDER PROJECT · November 28, 2019Osaka Umeda: Creating an urban forest with locally sourced wood
The store on the second floor of LINKS UMEDA uses locally sourced Osaka chestnut and Kawachi cedar to create its JIMOTO table space, while also displaying artwork co-created by local children and artists. The store aims to give customers inside a high-rise building the relaxing feeling of being surrounded by trees.
Reference angle: Present local materials and community participation together inside the store, making the space a medium for local connections.
